Meet Dr. Reagan Ratcliff, Dr. Unnati Chotai & Dr. Megan Matocha
Dr. Reagan Ratcliff was raised in Friendswood, TX and graduated from Friendswood High School as the American Legion Male in 2005. After high school, Dr. Ratcliff attended Texas A&M University in College Station and graduated with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Ratcliff pursued his doctorate in optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he received a clinic letter of excellence in Family Practice and was an honors graduate. Dr. Ratcliff and his wife Kacey have 4 beautiful children, their sons Asher and Kyler and daughters Ruth and Piper. They currently live in Friendswood, where Dr. Ratcliff and his wife were born and raised (Friendswood High School Class of 2005!). Their family is actively involved in the Friendswood United Methodist Church, YoungLife, and attend many Friendswood High School events. Dr. Ratcliff enjoys playing golf and basketball, fishing, traveling, and being with family and friends.
Dr. Megan Matocha is a therapeutic optometrist trained in all aspects of optometry including disease management. She is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry and has been practicing in the Clear Lake area for 5 years. Special interests of Dr. Matocha include contact lenses, especially myopia control for kids and multi focal lenses for adults who are tired of reading glasses. Dry eyes are becoming more prevalent due to many external factors and she offers many novel treatments, for those who have not found relief with conservative measures in the past. In her personal life, Dr. Matocha and her husband, Scott stay busy with their two kids, Maisie and Jack. She also enjoys cooking and baking, reading, and loves all things cosmetics and skincare. She grew up in Victoria, TX where her dad is still a practicing optometrist and went to college at The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Nat grew up in the Clear Lake and Friendswood areas and is a graduate of Clear Brook High School. She attended Texas A&M University in College Station (Go Aggies!) and majored in Nutritional Sciences. Dr. Nat studied optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry where she developed an interest in orthokeratology and specialty contact lenses. In her spare time, she likes to read books, create art, travel, and spend time with her friends and family.
Dr. Savannah Peterson grew up in Bellingham, WA. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in English Literature. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Peterson worked as an optometric technician in a pediatric setting; however, her passion for optometry started very early in life, after receiving her first pair of glasses at the age of two years.
Dr. Peterson graduated cum laude from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry with her Doctorate of Optometry. During her time there, she pursued many opportunities to serve the optometric, pediatric and vision therapy community. She acted as president of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development club, participated in a mission trip serving the Oaxaca, Mexico community, and tutored other students. Dr. Peterson has been recognized on several occasions for her academic success, leadership, and clinical dedication to optometry. She was honored as the recipient of the UIWRSO Service Award, Dr. Randal Collins Clinical Ethics Award, AAO Johnson&Johnson Vision J. Pat Cummings Scholarship Award, COVD Excellence in Vision Therapy Award, Optolec Excellence in Low Vision Award, and Dr. Melvyn Bloom Make A Difference Scholarship Award. Dr. Peterson is eager to provide exceptional care to the whole family, including children and will happily see all ages. She is currently pursuing her fellowship in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development for enhanced pediatric care.
When not at the office, Dr. Peterson enjoys hiking, reading, baking, spending time with her husband and an occasional game of golf or pickleball.
